Halloween 2026 falls on a Saturday, and in Moore most of the month moves to fit around it. The farm closes early that day. The two main Old Town events start in the afternoon and end 25 minutes after sunset. Nearly every after-dark Halloween event around Moore happens before the 31st, mostly on the Friday nights leading up to it.
If you live in Sendera Lakes, at the southeast corner of SW 34th and Santa Fe (that's SW 164th on the Oklahoma City grid), you sit between all of it. Old Town and Central Park are to one side, and Orr Family Farm is on South Western Avenue in south Oklahoma City. Here's how the calendar lines up from now until the porch lights go off.
The 31st Is a Three-Hour Window in Old Town
Start with Halloween itself, since that day explains the rest of the month.
Orr Family Farm, at 14400 S. Western Ave., is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on October 31. The farm's Halloween Lights run on October Fridays and Saturdays but skip two dates, October 2 and October 31, so there are no lights at the farm on Halloween night.
In Old Town Moore, two events cover the same three hours. The Moore Public Library at 225 S. Howard Ave. holds Haunt the Library from 4 to 7 p.m. in the parking lot outside the building. It has crafts, a photo booth and games, it's open to all ages, and you don't need to register. Moore Monthly's 2026 fall events guide lists Haunt Old Town for the same day and the same 4 to 7 p.m. window. It describes booths from local businesses, organizations and churches, plus inflatables, music, games, face painting and food trucks.
Sunset in the Oklahoma City area on October 31, 2026, is at 6:35 p.m., according to timeanddate. Here is the whole day laid out:
| Time on Sat., Oct. 31 | What's happening |
|---|---|
| 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. | Orr Family Farm open on daytime hours, no Halloween Lights |
| 4 p.m. | Haunt the Library and Haunt Old Town begin in Old Town Moore |
| 5 p.m. | Orr Family Farm closes |
| 6:35 p.m. | Sunset |
| 7 p.m. | Haunt the Library and Haunt Old Town end |
| After 7 p.m. | Residential trick-or-treating on the date the City of Moore recognizes |
The City of Moore recognizes October 31 for residential trick-or-treating but sets no official start or stop time. That means the organized part of Halloween night is mostly over about half an hour after dark, and anything after that happens on neighborhood streets.
So the After-Dark Halloween Happens Earlier in the Month
With the farm dark and Old Town wrapping up by 7, the Halloween nights with lights, rides and outdoor movies all come before the 31st. As of October 12, here's what's left:
- Friday, Oct. 16, 6 to 7:30 p.m.: Tricks, Treats & Hocus Pocus at Central Park. The City of Moore holds this one at the Central Park Amphitheater and Pavilion, 700 S. Broadway Ave. Kids trick-or-treat through the park with lawn games, inflatables and balloon twisting. Coits Food Trucks and R & P Carnival Eats & Treats are the listed food vendors. After the trick-or-treating, Hocus Pocus plays on the lawn. The city's page doesn't list an admission price.
- Friday, Oct. 16, and Saturday, Oct. 17: Halloween Lights at Orr Family Farm. The rides, pumpkin patch and corn maze get lit up after dark, and you can see the lights from both the hayride and the train. From October 17 through 30, the farm stays open until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
- Friday, Oct. 23, and Saturday, Oct. 24: Halloween Lights again. Oct. 24 is the last Saturday night of lights this season.
- Sunday, Oct. 25, 5 to 7 p.m.: Trunk or Treat at First Moore Baptist Church, 301 NE 27th St. The church's notice asks for candy donations and decorated trunks.
- Friday, Oct. 30: the last night of Halloween Lights. It's the farm's final after-dark Halloween night of 2026, the evening before Halloween itself.
The first item on that list overlaps with the second. On October 16, the city's Central Park event and the farm's lights both happen on the same Friday night. Because Central Park wraps its trick-or-treating at 7:30 and the farm runs later on Fridays, some families could do both. The more realistic plan is to pick one night for each: Central Park on the 16th, and the farm on the 17th, 23rd, 24th or 30th.
As for cost, Orr's ticket page currently lists a one-entry 2026 Fall Festival ticket at $24.95 online or $28.95 at the gate. The Journal Record reported in September that preseason tickets started at $16.95. That price came from an earlier sale period, so the current page is the one to go by. The farm's fall season runs on select dates through November 14.
Why the Old Town Date Matters More Than It Looks
Haunt Old Town wasn't on Halloween last year. A 2025 City of Moore listing for Haunting on Howard Street, described as "part of Haunt Old Town," put it on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Moore Community Center, 301 S. Howard Ave., with free admission. Last year it ran six days before the residential trick-or-treat night. This year, according to Moore Monthly, it lands on Halloween itself.
That changes how the afternoon works for a family coming from SW 34th and Santa Fe. When the Old Town event was its own Saturday, it was a separate outing. On October 31 it becomes a warm-up for the neighborhood trick-or-treat. Families who head to Old Town at 4 can be back in the car by dusk.
Last year's Haunting on Howard Street piece sat at 301 S. Howard, on the same street as the library at 225 S. Howard. If this year's layout looks similar, the two events with matching hours could be a single stop, but the 2026 listing only says "Old Town Moore."
One caveat before you build the afternoon around Old Town. The 2026 Haunt Old Town details come from Moore Monthly's guide, published September 1, and the guide itself says listings may change. As of mid-October, the City of Moore's upcoming-events page didn't list Haunt Old Town, and no 2026 organizer listing gives the exact streets or a fee. Haunt the Library is the confirmed piece. Its Pioneer Library System listing gives the date, the hours and the location, the parking lot outside the Moore library.
Planning Halloween Weekend From Sendera Lakes
Put together, Halloween weekend from Sendera Lakes looks like this:
- Friday, Oct. 30: Orr Family Farm's final Halloween Lights night, the only after-dark farm option that weekend.
- Saturday, Oct. 31, daytime: The farm is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a daylight pumpkin patch trip.
- Saturday, Oct. 31, 4 to 7 p.m.: Old Town Moore for Haunt the Library and, if it's confirmed closer to the date, Haunt Old Town.
- Saturday, Oct. 31, after sunset at 6:35 p.m.: Back home for residential trick-or-treating, which has no city-set hours.
If you want the outdoor movie and a big park event, Central Park on October 16 is the only one on the city's calendar this month. If you want a church trunk-or-treat, First Moore Baptist's falls on the Sunday in between.
Central Park and The Station at 700 S. Broadway will be busy again soon. Readers who followed our August weekend guide for Sendera Lakes will recognize the address. The city lists its Christmas Light Show at The Station starting Friday, November 27, from 6 to 10 p.m. The listing's end date carries an apparent typo in the year, so check with Moore Parks and Recreation before planning a late-season visit.
